Jump’in Pessoa-Style Round Leather Bit

Composition:  Round leather. 

Important note to our  customers  :   leather  bits  are  not guaranteed  against  bites  , even after the first  use . 

Effect  : A rather lowering bit, the classic Pessoa has a more direct lever effect than the German Pessoa. The round leather Pessoa will therefore combine a lever action with a certain softness and flexibility in the horse’s mouth.  Jump’In bits  made  of  leather  are very  soft  and  comfortable  for the  horse . Unlike  stainless steel ,  Sweet Iron  or other  alloys , leather  prevents  excessively cold contact  .  

Instructions for use  : This bit can be used with reins attached securely to the bottom ring, with rings, or with two pairs of reins. The round leather mouthpiece prevents excessively cold contact in the horse’s mouth and provides a lot of flexibility in the contact between the horse’s mouth and the rider’s hand.

Care instructions:  Rinse the bit thoroughly after each use to limit the build-up of residue and the risk of discomfort for your horse. Oil the leather with vegetable oil ( Note  :  do not use neatsfoot oil or other synthetic oils) to maintain a soft and comfortable feel for your horse.
